My coils do the same... the issue is that you can't 'dry burn' the nickle to clean it...
well, you can...but you'll alter the chemical composition of the nickle when you do that...and thats not a good idea..

    I managed a dual Nickel build 28G in Goliath v2...14 Wraps around 3mm mandrel..×2
It brought me to 0.11 ohms..What a mission getting those buggers not to short or do anything funny..Good vape between 450-500F...
But now I am concerned...How do you clean them? I use very high VG juices..
I can't get pictures attached, apparently to large..
    Temp control brought better flavour.
    No dry hits.
    Better battery life.
Slightly more economic on juice..but not in the Goliath...Shaw he is thirsty!!!!

Are the ends of those coils not touching the chimney?

Do you mean squeezed together? If so, Nickel does not like that.

If your new to coiling nickle try this trick, it really helped me out allot

I used a 3mm screw with a normal metric threading (Cant remember the pitch) and wrap your coil around the screw using the helix to guide you. keep the screw in place until you fitted the coil to the RDA / RTA and then unscrew it slowley. if done correctly the coil will keep its shape and the spacing is good enough to last a good couple of days.

14 wraps per coil.Squeezing the coil together was inevitable..And gave me so much k@k later the evening I put one of the stock dual kanthal coils in.
Lesson learnt...touching wraps with nickel is bad...lol

My go to Nickel wrap is dual 8 wraps on 2mm with 31g. (normally around 0.07 so I dont think this will work for @Gert_Koen )
