    Hey all

Recently got a Griffin Mini, fantastic little tank, build quality is impeccable.

Having issues with wicking find either she leaks or its dry hits after chain vaping, maybe 3 drags. Any suggestions or tricks. Tried raising the coil up an it did help a bit with the leaking. Seen various styles of wicking on you tube, but they never show more than a few drags let alone a day later once wick has properly settled.

Running in single coil mode with an 8 wrap 26/32 clapton at 52 watts.

[IMG] It looks very similar to the Griffin 22 deck, which for me had the same combo of dry hits/flooding.
On my Griff 22, I thin out the cotton "legs" after feeding through the coils and cut them very short.
So short that you have to use a bit of ejuice to keep them in position, tucked in behind the cotton ring.
Then I fluff the cotton a bit so they take up all the space on the juice channel.
Also move the excess cotton away from the airflow hole.

@Frank Zef , it is almost an Aromamiser style deck where the juice channels feed from below the wicks.

Thanks for the feedback though. Will try fluffing the cotton some more.

You would need to use a piece of cotton that fits nice and snug (almost a tight fit).
The placement of the cotton is very important, you need to fluff out the ends and make them sit right on top of the juice hole.

I would say it's different from the griffin 22mm because this tank has a juice hole were as the griffin 22mm is more like the Crius which you could just tuck the wicks into the juice hole (much bigger juice hole).

Thanks @Daniel Craig , I definitely think it's a case of fluffing the cotton and filling the wicking channel as much as possible.

Will give it another try, think I am also going to use some 24G kanthal coils just to keep things simple.

Black line means trim off that piece of cotton. Thereafter fluff out the ends (don't thin it too much) and cover the juice hole. Keep in mind that there mustn't be too much of cotton stuffed on top of the juice hole otherwise it won't be efficient in wicking.

Rewicked and fluffed, made sure the cotton was tight.

Got my first post wrong actually running fused SS Clapton.

I did trim the wicks before tucking them in, +/- in line with the atty base

A lot better, thanks @Daniel Craig . Think I am going to put a dual 22g build in, haven't done a plain simple in months.

On a side note did a side by side test with the Griffin mini and the Lemo 3, Lemo has a notch better flavour, could pick up more detail/flavour notes and the entire Vape experience from it is just so smooth. Just bleak I gave it to the wife and she isn't letting go of it.

I'm also not a fan of the griffin. I had the OBS Crius V3 the same time the griffin 22mm was released and I much preferred the Crius. The griffin just didn't give me good flavor like the Crius would. Recently I had the Griffin Eagle and still I didn't like it that much. I love the flavor of the Moonshot but building and wicking it is a real pain. The tornado nano is also a really nice tank for flavor, this one I really like but I'm yet to try out the CoilArt Mage RTA. I heard good things about this tank.

Also really like the Mage but think I might get a Goblin Mini V3 when it is released.

Enjoyed the Griffin 22 when it was released but it just doesn't do it in terms of flavour against the new tanks out there.

The goblin mini V3 does look interesting. I like the build deck.
